We recently announced the ability to manually mark reviews as “Incentivized” from your timeline. We’re excited to share some recent updates that make it even easier to be transparent about reviews that were collected using an incentive like loyalty points or free samples.
Read the original announcement here to learn more about the ‘Incentivized’ review tag about why we built this.
You can now mark reviews as ‘incentivized’ using the following methods:
Dynamic Link: Append ‘&incentivized=1’ to the end of a Dynamic Link to automatically tag all product reviews using collected using the link
Review Booster: If your email includes an incentive, enable the Incentivized toggle before sending your Review Booster to automatically tag any product reviews collected through it
Email Templates: Have all reviews collected using a specific Product Review Email Template marked as ‘Incentivized' automatically
Quick invite: Use the incentivized toggle for Product Review invitations sent using the Quick Invite feature
Manual tagging: When manually tagging a review as incentivized, you can now update the incentive description.
Loyalty integrations: Due to the nature of loyalty programs, all product reviews collected using a loyalty integration (e.g. Influence) are now automatically considered incentivized.
UK merchants: If your store is not selling to UK consumers (no UK reviews on the account), loyalty tagging will now be disabled by default. Merchants can still enable this from the tagging settings page if desired, or use the Dynamic Link/Email Template options already offered.
Smile.io reviews: Now require an Order ID to be marked as incentivized - non-verified reviews will no longer be flagged.
Incentivized reviews will now display on:
Reviews shown on your Profile Page
Carousel, Product Review, and Floating Widgets
We have even more improvements planned for this feature, including automatic review tagging when usingVoucher Codes.
